The Rebellion

~From Jyn Erso

Theres so much drama. With the empire, raining terror across the galaxy. People, friends, dying every day.Somehow we still manage to fight amongst ourselves, fight with the only people who dared to stand up against the Empire.Somehow, in all this chaos, everyone in this tiny little rebellion, seems only to be disagreeing with each other. The empire rules with fear, divides and conquers, and we’re the ones, the ones sworn to destroy them, who are helping them the most…

I respect Saw, he saved my life, he raised me; but what I don’t understand is why he feels the need to disobey and disregard every order the Alliance gives him. He doesn’t want to recognise that we have allies, other people willing to fight beside us.That we’re part of something bigger now, something much bigger than ourselves.

His methods are rash and reckless and he tends to kill a lot of innocent people while completing his missions…just the other day he was on Naboo, blowing up some Imperial officers suite, I heard, not realising that the queen of Naboo was there too and the princess of Alderaan! The daughter of the biggest contributor to the Rebel Alliance!

It’s like he doesn’t care who or what we’re fighting for—or he doesn’t know…

The Empire is enormous and extremely powerful, and the only way to defeat them is if we stand together. These are dark times, everyone is afraid, barely anybody has the courage to stand up for what they believe, and to fight…barely anybody can fight. So we have to make the best of what we have, respect those who dared to stand up.Support each other…cooperate, even if we don’t want to…now, more than ever, the galaxy needs to do something it’s rarely been able to do before-Unite.But can we?This drama will tear us apart, this plotting and scheming within ourselves, trying to alter missions to complete smaller missions of our own…It will destroy us.

And I can’t sit here and wait for it to hapen.Saw can do what he wants…Personally, I’ve had enough of this rebellion…

I’ll find other ways to destroy the Empire.

The Lost Boy

Swinging into his bedroom window, he heard more than two voices downstairs in the kitchen. He was late for dinner anyway and thought he was about to embarrass himself in front of one of his parents’ important friends.Wonderful! He hurried downstairs to find the room devoid of life forms and filled with random clutter. His heart sank deep into his stomach.Where could they be?What Happened?

He walked around tring to work out what could have happened, with every step his feelings of ominousness increased.

He walked over to the kitchen and helped himself to some Jogan fruit. He sat down and convinced himself that they had probably left in a hurry and would be back soon to explain everything. He was used to his parents leaving him alone at home and going on mystrious missions…

…He waited for what felt like hours before reconsidering the fact that the empire was behind this.He knew they didn’t like his parents, but they could never catch them.

The sound of stormtroopers filled his ears, they were coming; but at least he’d got a heads-up…He realised it was time to go.

Ezra filled up his backpack with everything he thought he might need. For what, he didn’t know,But he set off for Old Joe’s.He’d known Joe since he was a baby and he liked him.

He was just so confused, he couldn’t think of anything better to do.He had a very bad feeling about this. And a feeling that his life was going to change forever…

After all what was a 7 year old supposed to do with himself after his parents were kidnapped?

It’s A Muddle

Sometimes you just have to do things. No matter how much you loathe them and want to walk away.Like this stupid imperial academy…It’s terrible. It is the absolute worst place I’ve seen in The Galaxy…I don’t get how my sister did it…

These people are the purest evil I have ever witnessed and I say this without considering whatever they’ve done with my sister so you can see that has to be bad.I don’t understand how people actually come here off their own accord. It disgusts me…but sometimes they don’t know any better, like Jai Kell. At least Ezra was able to help him.Good for them…but I  have to stay here until I find my sister.

He sighed

Some days I feel like this is pointless and I should have left when I had the chance, but when Ezra came, it gave me new hope.Maybe it’s a Jedi thing, or the fact that they still exist?

He knows how to find me, and eyes and ears inside Imperial HQ always helps for the rebellion. At least I can do some good…other than looking for my sister of course…

Someday I’ll find my sister, someday I’ll get out of this dreadful place, and someday the galaxy will be free.

Ezra Bridger

He reached out with the force and closed his mind to the already quiet world he was on.He stretched his senses, trying to feel their presence, trying to connect with them. They seemed so close yet so far away, then, finally he saw it.

Hera, she was happy…about her child!!He remembered when she told him, just a day or two ago…now it felt like all that was ages ago,as if the last few days had lasted a millennia, but he mustn’t dwell on that,he needed to reach Sabine,he was counting on her…had she figured it out??Had she realised what he needed her to do??He had to tell her…but how?

Just then,he noticed something he wasn’t particularly looking for in the force,a distant presence,a familiar presence…Ahsoka. She was looking right at him,and he could see her,as solid as he could see himself. She knew Ezra was out there somewhere, and was deciding whether or not it was time to bring him home.

If we could understand our emotions…

They’re gone, dead.Rogue One is dead.Everyone around me is miserable, but I don’t want to be.Rouge one are proof that if we have hope, we can win; and they were good people, the force will take care of them. And they will live on in our hearts forever. So why is everyone so depressed? I feel like their depression is reflecting upon me, and I don’t want it to!! I didn’t even know them. I’d met captain Andor once, briefly, but that was it; and still I feel like this is a personal loss, and I don’t like it.Its as if there’s this unpleasant, dead weight in my stomach that’s making everything seem odd. It’s strange.I’ve just been getting these random, almost nostalgic feelings ever since we left Scarif. It makes no sense. These don’t feel like my emotions. They’re disconnected from me and are making me feel disconnected from everyone else, for one reason.Mon Mothma kept tearing up when she contacted me after the battle and she almost switched off the hologram…

I’d actually been having a good week. The relief mission to Mykapo went really well and my paper for the apprentice legislature earned me a fair amount of ugly looks from the Imperial officers; but then this happened…The Death Star.

I mean, we got the plans, mission accomplished. At what cost? Said a nagging voice in her head which she tried to silence, but failed.I know many Rebels have already died for the cause and many, many more will die in the future; but the ones who survive will remain strong, because we have hope.

She was broken away from the world of her thoughts by Captain Antilles voice, ringing through her room.”Princess Leia, please report to the bridge, we’ll be coming out of hyperspace over Tattooine shortly”,he said; and she followed.Another adventure lay ahead of her.

Amyln Holdo of Gatalenta

“What would we do, if we couldn’t run away from our responsibilities, away from all the awful things that are happening in the Galaxy. What would we do, if we couldn’t find ways to distract ourselves from all our pain, and suffering. We would be broken…and we’d never have the strength to fight back. The Empire would shove us on the ground and we would stay they forever. But they never really have, and they never ever will, because we have hope, and in the times that we’re most upset, and feel like the entire universe is against us, we look to each other, we look to our past, we look to our future, and that reminds us what we fight for, and so we never give up.We have hope, and that is why no one will ever truly silence us.As long as hope lives in the Galaxy, evil will never be allowed to flourish. That is our life’s duty, to make sure that this hope never dies.To make sure that love, happiness and unity always prevail over hatred, pain and suffering.

The Empire rules with fear. They think that because they beat us, we will never rise higher than them. But they’re wrong. The way they beat us, is why we have risen much much higher than they could ever dream of rising. So stand, don’t let fear control you, let hope control you instead.Let us rise up together.Higher and higher each day, until they finally fall so far beneath us, they will really never rise up again.”

She met raucous applause as she finished and soon Leia was breathing in her ear,”Nice speech”,with a sly smile on her face; they departed the bridge to go prepare for their next mission.

Apparently its not alright to kill people.Or even so much as punch them in the face, because no matter what they’ve done, no matter how horrid they were to you, if you hurt them, everything is your fault. Kannen is a Jedi, all his life he’s been taught about peace and balance and serenity, so he’s peaceful and balanced and serene…for the most part.Even Ezra’s just the same now…but me,I’m a warrior, all I’ve ever known is to fight and fight, until I win, and that usually means my opponent is dead.I guess I could change the way I am, but even then, nothing else is going to change. No matter what I do, I’m still going to be a criminal to the empire and a traitor to Mandalore and a disgrace to my family. So what’s the point? It won’t change anything. Kannen has a lot of faith in people, but he’s too idealistic for my liking. In a Galaxy at war, filled with pain and suffering, he still manages to see the good in people, and I respect that.I just don’t see that.I’m a Mandalorian, and a proud one, and I will never forget our ways, but maybe if I spend enough time with these two crazy Jedi, something about me could change.

Rebels

Hope?Rebellions are built on hope.Hope is what gives us our strength.Hope is what empowers us to rise up and keep hitting the Empire back, harder and harder every time they try to gun us down.Only if we believe that there is hope, will we be able to win this fight! We can’t stay hidden forever! If we don’t prove to them what we’re capable of, they will never believe it.And don’t tell me that they don’t need to believe it for it to be true, because it is true, we are capable of defeating them, they just need to know it.They need to see it. This mission is essential for our survival. If they’ve truly built a weapon with this much power then we have to at least try to destroy it!You’re all rebels aren’t you?Since when did we loose hope so easily?Since when did we shrink from facing insurmountable odds to get something done?!!Now is our time! This is not when we give up!This is when we rise to our call! You can sit here to see an Imperial flag reign across the galaxy, or you can stand up and do something about it. We all have it inside us , that fire, that passion, now is the time to show it. This is a risk that we must take!We are all that’s left to push back the empire.                            We are hope.

Rose Tico

She used to work behind pipes all day, and now, she was some Rebel hero. Now she really understood how Finn felt.It was strange becoming so popular all of a sudden, even though she hadn’t really done anything…unless you count endangering the fleet. As she lay in her bacta suit, she remembered the little boy they met on Cantonica. He was just like her, but special. He had the heart of a hero, a true rebel, and somehow she knew that he was going to help them some day.Her thoughts were interrupted by someone who called “Rose!”, as they entered the room, and she could only guess who it was. Smiling, she sat up as straight as she could in her clunky suit to get a better look at Finn. She had a 1000 questions.”Where are we?” was her first one, which met the reply,”We’re on the Millennium falcon. How are you feeling?”.”WHAT!!!”,she exclaimed,”The real actual Millennium Falcon? We’re on it?Like flying through space in it?The Correllian ship that made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs!”,she couldn’t believe it, and Finn couldn’t believe how mesmerised she was.Finn said yes, they were indeed on the real, actual Millennium Falcon, that legendary ship that made the kessel run in less than 12 parsecs, and her expression, was priceless. She wanted to jump out of bed and run across the whole ship that instant and check out every single detail of it.She wanted scream and explore and have some fun, but Finn insisted that she should rest.Irritated but content, she lay back in bed and her thoughts wandered off again. This was how they were going to win.Not fighting what they hated, saving what they loved.

Solo:A Star Wars Story

He entered the Pub on Takodana and was instantly greeted by a loud shout from behind the bar.”Han Solo!”, she said as she came around to get them some seats. Maz was the last person who you’d expect to be Han Solo’s friend. She believed strongly in the force and was old and wise.Exactly what he needed at the time.He had just won a ship, fastest in the galaxy and suddenly a popular target for Hutt bounty hunters. He told Maz about the bounty Jabba had placed on his head and was not satisfied by the reply he received.”Han, why do you run from them. You cannot run forever.Running from the Empire, running from these bounty hunters, at some point you have to stand up and fight.I don’t fight anymore, but I used to.I was a skilled warrior when I was young and am no longer, but you are.I will never understand how a young man like you with so much…potential courage can just run away from his responsibilities. You are the future Han.People like you are the ones who will push back the Empire and bring peace and security back into the Galaxy.”

“Ummm…yeah Maz, I was thinking more like, do you know any places where Chewie and I could, you know, lay low for while, just till we can get them off our scent and then we’ll be right off.Defeating the Empire…totally! This is just, temporary.Safety measures, you know…”
